    FORD, Bertha Biesheuvel, age 87, former Whatcom County resident, died Friday, June 5, 1987 in a Sedro-Woolley hospital. She was born April 1, 1900, in Zwammerdam, the Netherlands. She came to the U. S. in 1917 & settled in Jamestown, North Dakota. In 1921 she married William F. Ford in Jamestown; the family came to Lynden in 1926 & Mr. Ford died in 1952, Mrs. Ford lived in California until moving to Skagit County in 1975. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. Surviving are daughters: Nellie Davis of Ashville, Alabama, Perl Picard of Port Angeles, Bessie Rowley of Burlington, Patricia Bozgeh of Saratoga, CA, Charlette Von Moos of Burlington; 48 grandchildren; & numerous great grandchildren & great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 6 sisters, Magdalena Timmer, Jane Hamming, Anna Oakhill, Nell Kluvers, Jennie vandenWeerd & Pearl VandeKamp; 3 brothers, Johannes, Pete & Dick Biesheuvel; 2 step-daughters, Hazel Karn & Ellen Sluys; 2 step-sons, John & George Ford. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 8 at the Burlington United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Hawthorne Lawn Memorial Park, Mt. Vernon, under the direction of Hulbush Funeral Home.
