↑ Not mentioned in his father's will of 14 Apr 1748. Source:Woodman, Cyrus. Woodmans of Buxton, Maine, p. 19, says no baptism found, so speculates he died very soon. On the other hand, if that was so, one might have suspected a subsequent son to be named Benjamin, as was a typical practice, and this suggests he didn't die until after the birth of their last son, Stephen, in 1728, leaving them no chance to renew the name Benjamin. The Woodman source points out there is a marriage in 1740 of a Benjamin Woodman, but there are other Benjamin Woodman's in town, so this needs further clarification.
