1224.4//612.0 BENJAMIN THOMAS II He was born 20 Dec 1694 in the Colony of Massachussets, now Springfield, Hampden County, MA The family moved to Brookfield, Worchester County, MA in 1706 In 1715, at age 21, Benjamin moved to Enfield in the Colony of Connecticut, now Enfield, Hartford County, CT to make his way in life. There in c1717 he married DOROTHY KIBBE, daughter of EDWARD KIBBE II and DOROTHY PHELPS of Sommers, CT.(7:258; 22:1) She was born 20 Oct 1696 at Enfield, Hartford, CT. They had 4 children:

They were granted a town lot in Enfield in 1720. They did not stay long before moving to Somers to be near Dorothy's parents. They settled 3/4 of a mile northeast of the cemetery. Benjamin was noted as the first maker of apple cider in Somers. Dorothy died in Nov 1728 at age 32. Benjamin was left with 4 small children, but he waited 6 years to remarry. On 7 Nov 1734 Benjamin married REMEM­BRANCE KING, a 45 year old widow from Sheffield, CT with 7 children. She was born 20 Mar 1689 at ?. Remembrance died on 20 Mar 1739 and in 1742 the family moved to Stafford, Tolland, CT where Benjamin bought 50 acres. Benjamin married SARAH CROUCH on 20 April 1758 at the Stafford Congregational Church.(7:230) Benjamin died 30 Aug 1769 at .(7:14-,229,230)
