Unable to find 1851 Cenus there is one for his parents but he is not listed he would have been about 8. (Could have been at boarding school.)

1861 England Census notes Benjamin living at 9 Shepherd St, St George Hanover Square, Middlesex with his parents John and Louisa and servant Sarah Perry age noted as 18 Occupation noted as "Articled to a Builder" (looks like he worked for his father)

1871 England Census notes Benjamin living at 2 Georges Terrace Kensington with his wife Rosamond his mother Louisa and servants Elizabeth Fennymsa and Alice Green age noted as 28 Occupation Builder Employing 14 Men (looks like he took over his father's building business)

1881 England Census notes Benjamin living at Sankence, Aylsham, Norfolk with his wife Rosamond mother Louisa children Cedric, Dorcas and Mary and Servants Emma Wright, Leah Flood and Caroline Butler age noted as 37 Occupation noted as Landowner and Farmer but living on Proceeds of House Properties in London
