Connection made between Benjamin and his parents based on Isabel la's mention in Pamelia Flandreau's estate file and the variou s Isabelle appearances in family documents as a sister-in-law . I suspect he doesn't appear in the 1810 census because, lacki ng his birth mother, he was living with another family until h e was weened.

The 1830 census of Scarsdale, Westchester County, New York, p.78 , lists Benjamin Flandrow as the head of a household consistin g of one white male 15-19, one white female 20-29, and one whit e female under five. It's possible that the census taker put Be njamin's age in the wrong column, or that an error was made at t he time of the report. Benjamin presumably would have been 20 , not 19, that year. Other confirmation that this is the righ t Benjamin is that he does not appear in the census record of hi s father's family that year.

The 1840 census of New Rochelle, Westchester County, New York, p .99 lists Benjamin Flandrow as the head of a household consistin g of one white male 30-39, one white female 30-39, and one whit e female 10-14. One family member is listed as employed in agri culture. The woman is presumably Isabella and the girl is Charl otte.

I keep wondering his father Peter should actually be the son o f Benjamin and not of Peter, as suggested in the Hill correspond ance with Myron Traynor. However, I think the Badeau middle nam e of his son really does come from Mary Badeau, the elder Benjam in's mother.

Henry Munro of Mamaroneck, West Chester County James Marks of Mamaroneck, West Chester County --- Paperwork of his estate makes Isabella the special guardian of C harlotte Angevine Flandreau, presumably a daughter from his marr iage to Ann Eliza.
