"… Benjamin Coggeshall (John3, Joshua2, John1) of Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut, … Benjamin Coggeshall, son of John and Mary (Stanton) Coggeshall, is said to have been born at Portsmouth, Rhode Island, and is said to have died at Stratford where he spent much of his life. He died after January 1786 when his life interest in land was mentioned in a Stratford deed."
