". . . Belle lived with her father and Jennie. Her son and his wife came to M'Town [Marshalltown (Marshall) IA] for a visit one winter and while there the son suddenly died. The wife returned to Calif. In just a year or perhaps two Jennie - who had been stricken with paralysis, and Belle, were found dead in their home, supposedly smothered with gas fumes from their stove.
