NEWTON, Bathshebah, d. Joseph and Abigall, [born] Sept. 19, ___.
[Note: mentions first in father's will, so presumably oldest child. Birth of Joseph Aug 1699 would allow birth to be 19 Sep 1698 but atypically close together so probably 19 Sep 1697.]

  3. The will of her father dated 4 Jun 1751 identifies Bathsheba as wife of Jonathan Foster. Source:Leonard, Ermina Newton. Newton Genealogy, p. 447, errs in thinking because Jonathan Foster had a child baptized 1722, she must have been married to him then, which would rule out the marriage to John Crosby. Clearly Ms. Leonard did not find the marriage record in 1741, which satisfies the will and also shows she did marry John Crosby.
