    1 Barnard Squire, Portsmouth, Oyster River, but first at Kit., his former gr. ment. in 1654. He had a bill ag. Portsm. in Feb. 1660-1; abs. from meeting 1664; in 1667 abused Capt. 'Sowtone' at Mr. John Cutts' ho. and frightened Mrs. Cutts. Ag. ± 40 in June 1672, when he cut wood at Spruce Creek. He appar. m. aft. 1681 wid. Margaret Willey(4) and sold land to Stephen Willey bef. 1696. She was liv. in 1701 (see Leathers 2). … Presum. a son by an unkn. w: Philip, was drunk and fought with John Willey at O. R. in 1678; left the Province. One P., Newbury 1681, ag. ± 25, had ch. rec. there by w. Mary: Mary, 1686, Thomas, 1694. More likely of the 3d than the 2d gener. were: Sarah, accus. of bastardy in 1710, return made to Dover ct. 'non est invent.' Elizabeth, b. at O. R., away some yrs., … back at O. R. in 1706 and had a ch. b. there, no husb. appearing; also named in warr. 7 Mar. 1709-10 with Martha Randall(12) and others. Joseph Stevenson of Great Brit. and Elizabeth S. of Portsm. int. mar. in Boston 11 Oct. 1716; also Richard Williams and E. S. (no resid. given) 22 June 1717, John Pike and E. S. m. in Boston 16 Aug. 1717.
