    "121. Capt. Azel Fitch (Joseph2, James1), b. Lebanon, New London Co., CT, 7 Nov 1728, bp. 17 Nov. 1728, d. Albany, Albany Co., NY, abt. 1769. … Azel and his first wife, Silence, lived with her father near Franklin, New London Co. Shortly after she died, David Howe deeded the house to Azel. He mortgaged the house in 1768 and sold it in 1769. Azel was 1st Lieut. in the Army, Mar. 1758; Capt. 9th Co. 2nd Reg., 1759; 8th Co., 1761; and 10th Co., 1762. He died insolvent, and a commission determined claims against his estate totaling £1457. The administrator was his brother, Col. Eleazer, …"
