    In Almond, N.Y., July 2,1892, at the home of her only daughter, Mr. Jennie Whitford, Mrs. Avis Potter Hood, in the 70th year of her age.

    Sister Hood was born in Brookfield, Madison Co., N.Y., and came to this country with her parents when about 5 years old.
    In early life she united with the First Alfred Church, and afterwards became a constituent member of the Hartsville Church. She was married to George Hood, June 28, 1845.

    Nearly two years since, she had paralytic shock of the left side. During this long sickness her children gave her the most attentive care. Funeral services at the Hartsville Church, conducted by Elds. J.T. Davis, J. Summerbell, and H.P. Burdick. A large circle of friends were present.
