Research Notes: From a letter dated March 4, 1945, To GW Parker from his mother, "I had a letter from my half-sister's daughter, Augusta Long. She has been out here. (Lives in Akron, Ohio). Twice was an Eastern Star or the ladies of Free Masons. She is now a widdow. I have missed the letters from her mother. The last one she wrote just after I married Sam. Josephine was her name. When I was five years old, she used to fold me in her arms and comfort me when my sister Ella passed away. Augusta mentioned each one of my family that have gone on, leaving me lonely.”
