Mrs. Aster Fae Spears, 81, died unexpectedly at her home in Onida Monday, Jan.3.
Mrs. Spears was born April 29, 1890 in Farina, Ill. She graduated from Milton College, Milton, Wis., and came to South Dakota in 1918, where she taught school three years before marrying Wm. B. Spears in Onida on June 29, 1921.
Mrs. Spears was preceded in death by her husband in 1965, and a daughter, Margaret Winters, in 1955. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Catherine Bien of Richmond, VA., one son, William Spears, Pierre; and one sister, Mrs. Fern Johanson, Minneapolis.
Funeral services will be Sat., at 2 p.m., Jan 8, at the Presbyterian Church in Onida. The Rev. M. Todd Macdonald officiating. Burial will be in the Onida Cemetery. Hall Funeral Home, Pierre, is in charge of arrangements.
