NEW YORK LEWIS HISTORICAL PUBLISHING CO. 1913 - Page 448 (IV) Asher (3), son of Calvin Knight, was born at Stafford, April 22, 1829, died in 1856 at Toledo, Ohio. He was a musician of note, a well-known organist and conducted a music store at Toledo. He also had charge of the music in the public schools. He married Jane Belcher, of Enfield, Connecticut. They had one child, Jennie, born in 1845, now deceased.
