Person:Arthur Godsmark (1)

Arthur George Godsmark was baptised on 12th June 1864 at Crawley in Sussex, son of Susan Godsmark, formerly Bryant, and her husband, George Godsmark, a bricklayer and labourer. Young Arthur George was the couple's first child. Their second child followed in 1866.

Sadly Arthur died when he was only three years old, being buried at Crawley on 10th October 1867. It is quite likely that there was an illness in the family; his younger brother died later that same month, leaving their parents temporarily childless again.
