   Earlier this week I spent part of the day reading the Risingsun Unique newspapers from 1909-1910.   I was especially interested in a weekly column called 'Girton Gossip' since Emanuel Shultz had lived there.   In one of the columns it mentioned that Archie Shultz and wife of Rollersville had come to Girton to visit Emanuel Shultz and wife for dinner.  That surprised me as I had never heard of Grandma and Grandpa Shultz living near Rollersville.

On the way home I decided to stop off in Bradner and see what Uncle Marvin had to say about the article. "That was before my time", Marvin said. I told him that I realized that but I thought someone along the line had blabbed out something about it.

Marvin told me what I think everyone pretty much knows. Grandpa Shultz did not talk a whole lot. But Marvin did remember one short conversation.

It seems one day Herschel was talking to his younger [six years] brother Marvin about sex. Herschel was wondering how old a man had to be before he could no longer have sex. "Go ask dad", Herschel implored.

Marvin not knowing any better approached his father and said he had some thing to ask. Archie asked what. "How old does a guy have to be before he can't have sex".

Hearing the question, Archie calmly answered in his usual slow manner, " WelI, I guess you'll have to find someone a lot older than me to ask that question".
