Active in the Women's Missionary Society. Took her son to revival meetings to hear Billy Sunday preach.

Once walked in on the minister of her church and found him and a woman 'en flagrante delicto'.

During the Depression, withdrew the family savings from a bank because of a 'message from God' just before the bank failed.

Traveled first class to Britain on the steamer Beringeria in the 1930s to visit her husband, who was building a steel mill in Wales. Mary Pickford was on the same ship.

Buried in Allegheny Co. Memorial Park.
