    Case 11798.

Will of "Samuel Greenleaf of Newbury Port ... Gentleman", dated 11 Oct 1786, proved 27 May 1793, names "sons in law Isaac Green Pearson and William Parsons" as executors, and bequeaths to daughter Anne Pearson [as well as Margery Rousseau, Elizabeth Parsons, Mary Greenleaf, Jerusha Greenleaf, Judith Greenleaf and Eunice Greenleaf]. A distribution by William Parsons, surviving executor in 14 Feb 1825, pays one share to "Mrs Ann Pearson, wife of Isaac G. Pearson, both deceased, her heirs are as follows- 1st Mary G Lunt wife of Henry Lunt, 2'd Elizabeth P Pearson, 3 Jere'h Pearson, 4th I. Green Pearson".

  4. There is a death record in Newburyport VRs, for "PEARSON, Anna, d. Isaac G., [died] Aug. 23, 1801. [a. 63 y. GR1]". Since Isaac Green Pearson was born 1748, this is clearly not his daughter. But the age at death, implying a birth in 1738, would not match his wife either. If the age at death was 53, it might be possible that this was meant to be his wife. Unfortunately, Find A Grave merely parrots the VRs, instead of providing a picture that could provide the independent data that could help resolve this confusion.
