"My Grandmother [Anna M. Gilbert] was born on Dec. 11, 1881 not 1883 as you have listed . . . She was actually a few months older than Eugene and teased about it by her children. Jess's daughter cited his birth as 1886 in Schickley, fillmore County, Nebraska. This was news to my aunt, since my grandmother [Anna M. Gilbert] was born in Colby, Thomas County, Kansas.
