Anna Belle Swaisgood, 88, of Perrysburg, and formerly of Fremont, died early Sunday, April 23, 2006, at Heartland of Perrysburg. She was born on June 28, 1917, to George W. and Ida H. (Madson) Craun in Scott Township, Helena, OH. Anna Belle graduated from Risingsun High School in 1935 and attended Tiffin University. She worked at the Sandusky CO Courthouse until her marriage. On February 22, 1941, she married Norman O. "Norm" Swaisgood in Carey, OH, and he died October 13, 2005. The couple has a daughter, Norma Jean (Jim) Stark, of Perrysburg. Anna Belle was known for her homemaking skills. She loved to cook and keep an immaculate house. Friends, family and neighbors always enjoyed getting her plates of "goodies" at holidays, on special occasions and whenever there was a need for some kindness to be shown. Anna Belle was a loving wife and mother who took pride in her husband and daughter's accomplishments. Anna Belle was a former member of Scott Trinity United Methodist Church, Risingsun. More recently she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Fremont, where she was a past member of the Women's Guild and of the Pastor-Parish Committee. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 26 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 900 North St., Fremont. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 204 N. Wayne St., Fremont, with additional visitation one hour before the service. Rev. Lowell Peterson and Rev. James Nuhfer will be officiating. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
