    In Albion, Wis., July 21st, 1879, after a lingering illness of several months, Mrs. Ann Burdick, wife of E. L. Burdick, in the 53d year of her age. Sister Burdick had been an extreme sufferer for a long time, but patiently and cheerfully she endured all "as seeing him who is invisible." She died as the Christian dies, falling asleep in Jesus, death being but the gateway to eternal life.
    She leaves a husband, one son, an aged mother, three brothers, two sisters, and a large circle of friends to mourn her loss. S. H. B.
