Research Notes

  • Ann Hunt was linked to husband William Cannaday via previously uploaded gedcoms.
  • Question: There is something that is troubling here, namely was Ann Hunt d/o William and Ann (Rayle) Hunt really the wife of William Canaday. Why? William Canaday was disowned by New Garden MM for marrying out of unity in 1817. Ann Hunt was born into the Quaker faith by virtue of her parents being Quakers, and I can not find any record which shows that she was disowned from New Garden MM, so it would appear that she was not "out of unity" in 1817. This would seem to indicate that the woman who married William Canaday was NOT this Ann Hunt d/o William Hunt. More research needed. --Cos1776 16:07, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
