Ann Barker was baptised on 10th September 1775 at Woodhall in Lincolnshire, daughter of Joseph and Mary Barker.
On 30th November 1797, aged 22, Ann married a tailor called Thomas Ward at Great Hale, about twenty miles to the south of Woodhall. They stayed in Great Hale after their marriage, having seven children baptised there between 1798 and 1815.
Thomas died in 1838, aged about 62.
The 1841 census finds Ann living at Mill Yard in Great Hale with her daughters Elizabeth and Rebecca, Rebecca's husband John Gibson, and Ann's granddaughter Eliza. The 1851 census finds Ann still living at Mill Yard, just with her daughter Elizabeth. Both censuses describe Ann as being a pauper.
Ann died at the age of 80, being buried at Great Hale on 2nd June 1856.

Whilst no named connection has been found, this baptism has been linked to the Ann Barker who married Thomas Ward in 1797 on the basis that in the 1851 census the adult Ann Ward claimed to have been born at Woodhall around 1775.
