Identity

There appears to be confusion as to the identity of the Andrew J Webb who married Rachel Blackwell. The 1850 and 1860 censuses show 2 A(ndrew) J Webb's born about 1841 or 1842. One[3] was the son of James Webb and (presumably) a wife before his wife Sarah Hill. This Andrew was born in Tennessee and was living in Jefferson, Tennessee in 1860, and thus was likely the husband of Rachel Blackwell (married in Jefferson, Tennessee the following year). The other Andrew J Webb was the son of James Webb and Priscilla Gregory, living in Cherokee, Alabama, and reported as having been born in Alabama.
