The Warrego, the latest addition to the Q.S.S. Company's fleet. was built at Sunderland this year. Her length is 250 feet, breadth 36 25 depth of hold 22 x 85. Her engine room is 51 by 8 feet, and the engines are compound surface condensing of 250 h.p., with a length of stroke of 48 inches, and cylindrical diameter of 35 by 70. Her gross tonnage is 1551, registered 987. She has two decks, two masts, is schooner rigged, and framed with steel. She carries six boats, and is commanded by Captain T. C. Magrath, She averaged 13½ knots on her trial trip. She left Glasgow on the 6th September with 302 immigrants; Malta on 13th ; Port Said on 17th; Suez on 20th; Colombo on 4th October; Thursday Island on 20th ; Cooktown on 23rd ; Townsville on 24th ; Bowen on 25th ; Mackay on 26th. On the 10th September ran 317 miles. One death occurred, that of an infant three months old, from diarrhoea in the Red Sea,
