Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2007 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Jackie English of Christ Redeemer Fellowship in Granite Shoals officiating. Burial will follow in the Salty Cemetery near Rockdale. Mr. Jackson, a United States Navy veteran during Vietnam, was born Aug. 28, 1949 in Cameron to Monora Francis and I.B. (Bownds) Jackson. He married Betty Koenig on July 6, 1974 in Rockdale. He worked for the past two years at Home Depot in Marble Falls within the tool rental department. He previously worked with Houston Instruments in Austin for 20 years. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his father, Monora E. Jackson on July 27, 1995. Survivors include his wife, Betty Jackson of Burnet; three daughters, Elizabeth Ann Holley of Austin, Robin Marie Davila of Burnet and Rebecca Lynn Hale of Rockdale; mother, I.B. Jackson of Rockdale; two brothers, Richard Dean Jackson of Ada, Oklahoma and John Thomas Jackson of Rockdale; two sisters, Barbara Sue Needham of Cameron and Rosemary Gorthe of Ruidoso, New Mexico; seven grandchildren. Pallbearers include Matthew Hale, Cary Holley, Stephen Holley, Mike Hale, Ricky Hale and Richard Jackson.
