Anders is repeatedly and conspicuously identified in every record as "Postillon" = evidently something to do with the post office.

He is so identified in a death record 18 August 1834, but is listed as "Gift." = married, even though as far as we know his wife had died five years ago. His age is given as 52 which would imply a birth date c. 1782. None of these very hastily penned epidemic-time death records can be heavily relied upon.

  7. Birth year given as 1782 in household examination in the 1820s. One other household examination c. 1823 gives birth year as 1788.
Age 52 (implying birth c. 1782) given at death in August 1834 during a cholera epidemic, so may not be too reliable.

email from Rick 13 July 2001: An Anders Svenson did die in Kristina on August 18, 1834 at age 52 (listed as 520000) of Kolera. Looking for his birth presumably around 1782 is problematic. There is nothing in Kristina. I searched everything, having downloaded all the records locally, and found 9 plausible births, children named Anders born in 1780 - 1783 with a father named either Sven or having the last name Svensson, 6 in Habo, 1 each in Almesakra, Angerdshestra, and Bondstorp.
  8. "[August] 18 / 19 / [Gift.] / Postillonen Anders Svensson / 52 / Cholera"

Died August 18 [1834] buried the 19th, married, postal sorting clerk Anders Svensson, aged 52, of cholera.

This is probably the husband of Lovisa and father of their children, as he is always prominently noted as "postillon."

Since he is listed as married although Judit appears to have died five years earlier, he may have remarried in the interim?
