Mrs. Amy Campbell was born at Lincklaen, N. Y., Sept. 10, 1810, and died at the home of her son in New Auburn, Minn., May 20, 1902, aged 91 years, 8 months and 10 days.
In early life she made a profession of Christianity and united with the Seventh-day Baptist church, and remained a true follower of Christ unto the end of life. Sept. 21, 1829, she was united in marriage with Rev. Zuriel Campbell, who preceded her to the grave many years ago. For many years she shared with her husband the joys and trials of pastoral labors, while he served as pastor the churches of Milton, Dodge's Creek, Utica, Dodge Centre and New Auburn.
She was the mother of ten children, of which number only three are now living and but one of whom could be present at the funeral. During the war of the Rebellion two of her sons entered the Union army and made noble records as true soldiers. For many years she had made her home with her son, Mr. Mark Campbell of New Auburn, where she received the best of care up to the time of her death. She lived to a ripe old age and spent her entire life in quietly serving her Saviour, and has gone to her reward fully prepared to meet him whom she served so well. E. H. S.
