Funeral services for Mrs. Amy Rintha Hilburn Haynes, 88, of Sarepta, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at New Sarepta Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Dodd officiating. Burial followed in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary of Springhill. Mrs. Haynes died Monday, June24, after a sudden illness. She was a lifelong resident ofSarepta and a member of the New Sarepta Baptist Church. She also a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Wyman Haynes; six sisters, Terrell Martin, Effie Jones, Virgie Matlock, Mildred Cobb, Delores Wilson, and Eula Martin: and two brothers, Guy Hilburn and Denzel Hilburn. Sheis survived by four sons, Andrew J. Haynes and his wife,Patricia, of Springhill, Donald Wayne Haynes and his wife,Cathrine, of San Antonio, TX, William D. Haynes and his wife,Jessie Elizabeth (dau of Roy C. Gray & Christian Powell Gray),of Springhill, Roger Allen Haynes and wife , Barbara, of Shongaloo: a daughter, Rebecca Ann Fitts and her husband,Darrell, of Shreveport; two brothers, Ray Hilburn of Bossier City and Yancy Mac Hilburn of Corpus Christi, TX; 14grandchildren; and 19 great-grand children.
