Hiser, Amos Fostoria native


Amos Hiser, 84, of Mineola, TX, formerly of McCutchenville, died Friday, S ept. 1, 2000, in TX.

He was born Dec. 12, 1915, in Fostoria, to Marion Boyd and Edna (Amos) His er. His wife, Marjorie (Might) Hiser, also is deceased.

Survivors include: a son, Gary Hiser of Mineola; a grandchild; four great- grandchildren; and a brother, Wm Hiser of Fostoria.

Also preceding him in death were a son, Ned Hiser; a sister, Cecyle O'Brie n; and two brothers, Donovan and Albert Hiser.

A member of the Lutheran faith, he retired as a traffic manager from Glidd en Paint in Cleveland. He also was a retired music teacher.

Mr. Hiser, a musician in the Big Band era, formed his own group in the Fos toria area called "The 4 Sharps."

The Rev. Karl Kessler will be the officiant at the 10:30 a.m. Thursday ser vice in the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria. Interment will be in Founta in Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
