  4.   Given the baptism if Jonathan in 1737, if indicative of when he was born, a birth in 1738 is more likely caused by inflation in the age at death, rather than the actual birth year. It is assumed the baptism of the unnamed child in 1740 is Amos, and probably more representative of when he was born.
