    Mortensen, Ammon Ernst, Bishop of the Manassa Ward, San Luis Stake, Colo., from 1917 to 1920, was born Oct. 18, 1877, in Parowan, Utah, a son of Anders Jorgen Mortensen and Christine Andersen. He was baptized Nov. 1, 1885, ordained a Seventy Aug. 5, 1906, by Joseph W. McMurrin, and filled a mission to the Southern States in 1906-1909. He was ordained a High Priest Aug. 16, 1914, by Erastus S. Christensen, and a Bishop May 6, 1917, by Rudger Clawson.
