BIO: Ambrose was executor of the will of his father-in-law, B. in 1740. Betty was the daughter of Benjamin Lawrence and Mary Clough, of Charlestown. Mary was the daughter of John Clough, a taylor who became a freeman in Watertown, Mass., 05/18/1642. Ambrose's will, dated 2 March 1778, leaves his great bible to his grandson Ambrose; his looking glass to his 'beloved daughter Annah Hoyt' and all other property to his beloved wife Betty. Upon Betty's death, according to Walker in "EMBDEN TOWN of YORE", this property then passed on to their grandson Benjamin, who by then had moved to Embden, Maine.
