Funeral services were held for Mrs. Albert Ziesemer on Monday, March 18 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in West Miltona, with Rev. Karl Lassanske officiating. Mrs. Lawrence Gesell served as organist and accompanied the combined choir of St. Paul's and Mt. Calvary as they sang "I Need Thee Every Hour" and "Asleep In Jesus."

Interment was in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Amanda Thurke Ziesemer was born on April 25th, 1886 in Hennepin County, Minnesota. When she was five years old the family moved to Miltona Township. She has lived in this community since that time. She was confirmed June 17th, 1900, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, West Miltona by Reverend Schielke.

On May 7th, 1908 [she] was united in marriage with Albert Ziesemer. This union was blessed with seven children. Two of the children died in infancy. They were: Oliver who was born and died in 1909, and Hierene who was born and died in 1913. Surviving are: Linda, Mrs. Clarence Nyberg of Parkers Prairie, Minn., Albert Ziesemer Jr. of Arizona, Rosalie, Mrs. John Krebs of Miltona, Minn., Ervin of South St. Paul, Minn. and Myrtle, Mrs. Alvin Holderbecker of Appleton, Minn.

She is also survived by 16 grandchildren (2 are overseas) and 6 great grandchildren. Also two sisters, Mrs. Helena Betterman of Parkers Prairie, Minn., and Rachel, Mrs. Frank Ziesemer of Miltona, Minn.

Amanda Ziesemer passed away on Thursday evening, March 14, 1963 at 7:50 P.M. She attained the age of 76 years, 11 months and 12 days. She had lived for 71 years in Miltona Twp. and at her present home for more than 50 years. Mr. and Mrs. Ziesemer had been married 54 years. CaCasket bearersere: Clarence Nyberg Jr., Ordell Krebs, Gary Holdergecker, Harlan Nyberg, Lowell Ziesemer and Albert Ziesemer.
