  5. There is an interesting mix-up among the children of Guy and Dorus Moore in William Cutter's Genealogical and Family History of Northern New York, Vol 1. On page 154, Dorus is listed as having a daughter by the name of Armond, who married William Squier. Amanda, the daughter of Guy and Hannah, is found on the 1850 census married to William Squier and in the same household is her mother, Hannah Moore. Upon further research, William Cutter's earlier publication, History of the Connecticut Valley in Massachusetts, Vol 2, which is referenced in the Northern New York book, indicates that Dorus was a bachelor and Amanda is the daughter of Guy.
