    Services for Alton Langford, 84, Mabank, were held Saturday, June 7, 2003, at the First United Methodist Church of Mabank, with the Rev. Glen Blackmon officiating.

    Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.

    Langford was born Jan. 25, 1919, in Clay County, and passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2003, in Kaufman.

    He was a carpenter and veteran of the U.S. Army.

    He was a member of the Carpenters Union #198, Dallas and received his 50 pin from the Masonic Lodge.

    Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Langford, Mabank; sons, Fred Langford and wife, Glennes, Mabank; Lowell Langford and wife, Carolyn, Kemp; brothers, Billy Langford, Olney; Derl Langford, Spokane, Wash.; Jimmy Langford, Wichita, Kan.; and Luther Langford, Prescott, Ariz.

    Pallbearers were Jason Anderson, David Henderson, Adam Langford, Jason Langford, Kevin Langford and Justin Simmons.

    Visitation was held Friday, June 6, 2003, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
