His greatest joy was being able to help those less fortunate. He was a Gourmet Cook, and he loved to share his cooking delights with all his friends and family. He loved to go to flea markets and auctions. He loved to write poetry, some which were published in various papers and journals: he collected antique banks for his grandchildren and he was a great story teller. He was a great loving husband, father and grandfather. Al was a member of the Eagles Club, The Elks Club, the Three Rivers Masonic Lodge, #57, F&A.M. and the Three Rivers Shrine Club. In 1984 he married June (Bullard) Dechnik, who survives. He was preceded in death by parents, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, and 1 son, Charles, and 2 daughters, Arlene and Delores. Memorial service and luncheon will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2005 at 2 P.M. at the Three Rivers Lions Club.
