  6. There is no birth record found for Almira. The death record lists her parents as James and Eunice, and that is how she is presented in Source:Holman, Mary Lovering. Scott Genealogy, p. 49, 81, born about a year before the father married his second wife after divorcing Almira's mother. Strangely Almira is not mentioned in any way in either the will of the list of legacies found in her alleged father's probate (though Eunice's son Elijah is), and given how soon the father divorce and remarried after her birth, one may suspect that he is not actually her father (a fact that may have led to the divorce)? More research is needed.
