- Note the death records give conflicting parents. To further complicate things, Source:Wilbor, John Reid. Wildbores in America : A Family Tree, p. 178, says Almira is the daughter of Abiel & Olive. But according to Source:Wood, Nora Bethel. Henry Wood of Middleborough, Mass, p. 41, Olive married 1802 her cousin Tisdale and had a daughter Almira, b. 6 Apr 1803. Tisdale was the son of Abiel Jr and wife Hannah, while Olive was the daughter of Joseph and wife Persis, Abiel's brother. But this is not clear as Tisdale and Olive's marriage is variously reported as 1802 (before Almira's birth) and Oct 1803 (after), and Almira's birth is variously reported 1803 and 1805, leaving nothing concrete to anchor our suppositions on. Further it appears the Brockton records are corrupted, since no Atwood family is found in the Raynham records to account for the birthplace given for Almira there, and one line under Almira's death, they give one William Plumer the birthplace Berkley with parents Abiel & Olive, probably intended to go with Almira. As the Berkley records do not appear to be online, more investigation is needed to determine Almira's parents.
