    4 Sep 1908 - HALL REUNION
    Seventy-Five Descendants of a Sturdy Old Virginia Gather at Fair Grounds.
    THE EIGHTH ANNUAL REUNION.
    Glad Time, Where Relatives Met and Strengthened the Ties That Bind in Blood.

    There was a "haul" of the descendants of Daniel Hall, a sturdy old Virginia pioneer at the fair grounds yesterday, when over seventy-five assembled to spend the day in glad reunion. This was the eighth annual reunion. Daniel Hall was born in Harrison county, Va., August 2, 1795, where he lived until he was ten years of age, when he removed to Bourbon, Ky., in 1805. There he remained until manhood. He was united in marriage to Millie Yelton, on March 26, 1820. In 1823 he removed with his family to Rush county and settled on a farm six miles east of Rushville, where he lived until his death, July 1, 1879. Following are the children of Daniel Hall and some of the immediate representatives of the family:
    - Henry Hall (on the old home place) Union township;
    - James Hall, Center township;
    - Almeda Hall Sutton, Lowell, Lake county, Ind.;
    - J.W. Hall, Gigns, son of Harrison Hall;
    - Charles Rich, Washington township, son of Amanda Hall Rich;
    - Mrs. Melissa Hall Carson, wife of Joel G. Carson, Union township.

    The out of town persons present were
    - Otto Sutton, wife and daughter of Lowell, Lake county;
    - John Wilson and family, of near Acton, Marion county;
    - Albert Hall and wife, of Indianapolis;
    - James Hall and wife of Knightstown.
    The balance were all Rush county people.
