Notes From an unnamed and undated article located in the Lamar County Genealogical Society Library, in the Taylor Collection, Box J. 'Mrs. Alma M. Jackson, 75, 521 George Wright Homes, died at McCuistion Medical Center Sunday, Sep. 19 [sic], at 1 a.m. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sep. 21, at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. C.C. Fulton officiating and burial in Knights of Honor Cemetery, Blossom.

Mrs. Jackson was born Sep. 9, 1907, in Blossom, a daughter of B.F. Webb and Evelyn Green Webb. She attended Blossom schools and worked at McCuistion Medical Center for 28 years before retiring in 1971. She was a member of the Nazarene Church and of its Ladies Adult Sunday School Class. She married J.L. [John Luther] Jackson in 1927. He died in 1971. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John (Evelyn) Weaver of Paris; one son, Reginald Jackson of Fort Worth; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. H.L. Foote of Blossom; and two brothers, Jennings Webb of Fort Smith, AR and Morris Webb of Dallas. Bearers were J.L. McVay, Bob Brainard, Bob Bailey, Gary Redd, Ted Latimer and Ray Cunningham.'
