Worcester Telegram & Gazette (MA) - October 30, 1989 Deceased Name: ALMA DULEY, 89 FITCHBURG - Alma (Harjula) Duley, 89, of 26 Pleasant St. was stricken ill and died yesterday in her home.

Her husband, William H. Duley, died in 1972.

She leaves a son, William I. Duley of Fitchburg; two brothers, Albert and Arthur Harjula, both of Thomaston, Maine; a sister, Ida Partanen of Cushing, Maine; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.

She was born in Thomaston, Maine, daughter of Erik and Ida (Hall) Harjula, and lived most of her life in Maine before moving here in 1961.

Mrs. Duley graduated from Thomaston High School and attended a business college in Maine.

She was a private secretary for many years at Hydewindlass Corp., a division of Bath Iron Works, and Cummings-Feldspar Corp., both in Bath, Maine. She was also a longtime secretary at Camp Chewonki, near Woolwich, Maine. She retired before coming to Fitchburg.

Mrs. Duley was a member of the Finnish Golden Age Society of Fitchburg, the Fitchburg Booster Club and the Friends of the Fitchburg Public Library.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Fitchburg Chapel of Sawyer-Miller Funeral Homes, 129 Elm St. The Rev. George L. Cory will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bath.
