Mrs. Alice C. Foster, 77, of 2400 Woodridge Road., died Saturday, April 21, 2007, at 9:50 a.m. at her residence. A native of Wake County, she was the wife of Mr. Clifford T. Foster Jr. and daughter of the late Jesse James Collier and Flora Lloyd Collier. She was the former owner of Crestwood Playschool, secretary of Davis Street United Methodist Church and also secretary and receptionist at Burlington Orthopedics and Hand Surgery. A member of Davis Street United Methodist Church, she worked with the youth in MYF, was involved in the Pastor Parrish Committee and the Trustees, was secretary to the Administrative Council and was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. Survivors include her husband of the home; a son, Mr. Bruce Alan Foster and fiancé, Jane Penny of Graham; a daughter, Mrs. Cynthia F. Hennigan and husband Bill of Augusta, Ga.; two grandchildren, Christopher and Rachel Hennigan; and a brother, Mr. Ben Collier of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Mr. John Collier; and a granddaughter, Miss Diana Hennigan.

Services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at 3 p.m. at Davis Street United Methodist Church by Dr. Alan Sasser and Dr. Michael Hobbs. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2007, and other times at the residence.
