Facts and Events
Alfred Smith was born on 1888 in Luton, son of Edith Sophia Smith formerly Sykes and her husband David Smith, a farm labourer and horsekeeper. Alfred appears in the 1891 census living with his parents at 'Why Ax Ye', which was a much photographed picturesque thatched cottage on Park Street just outside the then built up area. By 1901 the family was living in the town itself at 30 Park Road West.
Alfred has yet to be traced after 1901.
