Alfred Pierson Conklin, son of James D. and Martha (Glenn) Conklin was born ca. 1869 in Ohio. He graduated from Kentland High School in Kentland, Indiana. On 21 July 1895 he married Edith Stables (Stabler). Edith was born in 1880 in Indiana. They lived in Indianapolis, Indiana. They are listed in a 1928 Indianapolis phone book. At one point, Alfred owned a lumber company. Alfred died on 27 November 1957 in Indianapolis (Marion County). Indiana. He is buried with his wife and daughter at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana. His will was written 15 May 1946 and probated on 11 December 1957. He left everything in trust for his grandson, Oscar F. Frenzel III. His obituary says that he leaves a sister, Mrs. Lela C. Rider, and grandson, Oscar F. Frenzel III.
