Daily Times-News, The Monday, January 24, 1972 Final rites for Alfred THAD BREWER, 76, of 1964 Hilldale Dr., were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at Grove Park Baptist Church. Mr. BREWER was dead on arrival at a local hospital Saturday afternoon at -1 o'clock of an apparent heart attack. He had been in declining health 'for several years. A native of Chatham County, he was the son of the late William and Geneva Carter BREWER. He was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church and has been a retired employee of Cherokee Flooring Co. for four years. He was a World War I veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Mrs.. Bessie Johnson BREWER of the home; three daughters, Mrs.. Polly Aldridge and Mrs.. Mildred Duckworth, both of Burlington, Mrs.. Jeanette Ellington of the home; two sons, Henry BREWER and Raymond BREWER, both of Burlington; three brothers, Luther Walter BREWER BREWER of Charlotte, and Huey BREWER, both of Siler City; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren (Could not piece together rest of OCR archive)
