    Who married Jean, daughter of Robert, seventh Lord Semple. This laird was of considerable poetical ability, his poems in Manuscript are preserved in the Advocates' Library. He had issue -

    WILLIAM his successor.

    Two sons and three daughters, who died young.

    He was succeeded by his son
