Married Ellen Todd Donaldson. Children: Janet Minna (Schroeder). Graduated from the University of Ottawa about 1890 and taught school there until about 1895 when he moved to Port Essington, near Prince Rupert, where he worked for a fish cannery. He then moved to Nanaimo where he was in purchasing for the coal mining company. In 1930 he moved to San Francisco and worked for a large insurance company. Daughter Jean (Janet Minna) still lived in San Francisco as of 1991.S1
