Alden Williamson was born about 1750 in New Kent County, VA. Alden was a Revolutionary War Soldier. He is listed in the Annals of Southwest Virginia. He was with Captain William Campbell's Company on the Fincastle County Battalion lists. His name was spelled Auldin Williamson. He was in the Battle of Point Pleasant West Virginia. This battle was considered the First Battle of the Revolutionary War.

Alden moved into the Big Sandy Valley 1775-1801 His Will was made in Oct 1816 in Martin County, Kentucky. He died in 1816 as a result of an accident while going down the Tug River on a raft of logs.
