Wrote his uncle James two letters (see Trimble file)

In his letters to his Uncle James he mentions that he has a daughter that is nearly two years old. He says the frost of April 15 destroyed nearly all of the cotton that was planted at that time. Told his uncle to write him at Rodney Jefferson County. In November 12 letter he says he is just recovering from a most violent attack of fever. Has barely been able to walk since October 1. Says there has been a great deal of sickness and death from Typhoid fever this fall in this section of country. Was living 10 miles east of Rodney. He asked his uncle to please write again and tell him where he can leave his boat if he comes up to see him.
